New Tout Takes X by Storm

THE OPENER
Blezbets Running Wild

Folks, meet cblez or “@blezbets” on Twitter/X. It seems like everyone is talking about ‘ol Cblez the past couple weeks. He’s basically come out of the wood work and is showing up on everyone’s feed and has some supporters and a lot more haters in a very quick time.

Cblez’s account is relatively new to X with his account started last February and he’s basically running a course on engagement farming to gain a big following and notoriety in a short time. And honestly, it’s working. So what is he doing that has haters and people calling him a fraud? He’s running the gambit of fake high roller influencer:

  • Posting bet slips of amounts between $3,000 and $10,000

  • Posting videos of him supposedly getting denied a bet at a casino

  • Tweeting back and forth with Jeffrey Benson with Circa taking his bets

  • Posting the typical pics of piles of hundred-dollar bills like all the real high rollers do.

  • Posting pictures with his shirt off in his apartment that has no furniture

  • Posting dinners at fancy restaurants

  • And of course, the reaction videos after a loss where he’s throwing things

He talks about him being the algorithm or he has an algorithm, but the only successful algorithm happening here is his tweets are all over everyone’s feed. There’s a lot to work through with this account, but I’ll say this—his account is entertaining. He’s essentially trolling the industry and I believe knows what he’s doing to get the engagement and haters in. He’s welcoming all the hate because he desperately wants to get over on X. I think it’s entertaining, but then again I love the discourse and people out there trying to “get him.”

Now with all that said, let’s talk about his bets and his ultimate end game. He’s doing all of this for a reason. From the very little we’ve seen regarding his bets over the past two weeks, he’s not the sharpest bettor in the world. Take his Bengals -2.5 bet from last Saturday in Week 18 of the NFL…

Like I said on X after this tweet, that game wasn’t an all-time bad beat at all. This wasn’t even a bad beat…it was a bad number. Tomlin kicking the FG and getting the ball back late worked out…coaches do that move all the time. It wasn’t rigged, it wasn’t a setup. It wasn’t a bad beat for Cblez…it was, however, a bad number that he bet and it cost him. Also, are there any chairs in that apartment?? Steve Fezzik, who’s been coming at him too, lays it out here perfectly:

Hey, but it’s more engagement for Cblez right? Then you have Jeffrey Benson tweeting at him to get his play over to Circa which he immediately did and lost $10,000 on Boise St +12 in their playoff game against Penn State.

You know Benson was salivating at getting Cblez’s play over to Circa. I’m sure they will treat him well with comps and what not because they know he’s a fake sharp. It’s a little awkward that the casino operations manager is soliciting play on Twitter, but it’s 2025 and anything goes for these sportsbooks currently.

And then you have the real reason he’s doing all this IMO. He’s selling his picks…I know, who didn’t see that one coming. He’s trying to be a tout in a short amount of time and has a website and everything set up.

Obviously, I wouldn’t purchase picks from Cblez, but this is his ultimate end game I believe. Post big bets, look like you’re living this high roller life where the fun doesn’t stop and get some poor saps paying you 59 bucks a day for your picks. I would love to know how many subs he currently has. There’s even a fade cblez account out there!

For all we know, he could have created and is running this fade account himself to bring more attention to himself.

At the end of the day, I don’t think this ends well for Cblez. He’s clearly betting decent money because he is posting his Circa bet slips at least, but the big gambles have been losses. It’s entertaining for now, but I truly hope the kid doesn’t get hurt too bad by the end of this.

DraftKings Launches a Subscription Service for Parlays

If you’ve followed me for any bit of time, you know where I stand on parlay bets. I hate them. You shouldn’t bet them. The odds are awful. I hate that the sportsbooks promote these ridiculous 6-leg parlays and same-game parlays (SGP) all the time. Save your money and bet straight bets. Well now DraftKings is taking it to another level with a subscription service for parlay bettors…

You can’t make this stuff up. DraftKings was the company earlier this year announcing they would tax the winning bets of its customers in states that have a tax rate of more than 20% and now this. You should never bet parlays and you damn sure shouldn’t pay $20 a month for a subscription service to get “better odds” for parlays. More details will come out on this I’m sure, but the tweet above stated “for parlays with 11 or more legs, the profit increases 100%.” So now not only will you NOT hit your 11-leg parlays, but you can lose them and also pay extra money each month! This is horrendous that the sportsbooks are permitted to do this on top of all the predatory advertising they currently do. They’re adding this to go after the bettors already obsessed with parlay bets. I agree with Saagar above, this is sick. I can’t believe what these sportsbooks will cook up next as they continue to go unchecked in the legal sports betting world. Don’t bet parlays, kids. And don’t sign up for this shit at DK.

GRP’s Notebook is Back

In my first newsletter a couple weeks ago, I wrote about Erin Dolan’s impressive record that ESPN PR was promoting. Everyone was up in arms saying this was made up and ESPN was straight lying to people, but it was very hard to source because a lot of her picks weren’t posted online and were on live TV. Enter George, also known as GRP, who’s turned his attention to her bets…

GRP’s New Year’s resolution is to start tracking Erin Dolan and her bets in his notebook LOL. Is there a worse place to be featured on in the gambling space than George’s notebook? We’ve seen how this goes before when George followed Adam Chernoff’s bets and posted it on X basically calling for his spot on VSiN’s show. Stay tuned to see how Dolan performs in 2025 as I’m sure GRP will be all over it.

BIG BET OF THE WEEK
College Football Playoff Biggest Wager

This week’s biggest bet takes us to the college football playoff courtesy of Ben Fawkes and no, it wasn’t Blezbets.

A cool $230,000 on Georgia +1 at -115 in Biloxi, Mississippi. With that much money involved, I’m surprised they didn’t just take the Georgia ML at better odds, but whatever. It was a losing bet as Georgia lost 23-10 to Notre Dame in this game. Is it just me or do all of these big bet amounts always seem like they end up losing? Probably was some rich Georgia alum who has more money than he knows what to do with, but Georgia was favored when that line opened and it then crossed the bridge to the Irish as short favorites which is never a good sign if you’re sitting on the other side of that move.

CIRCA MILLION RECAP
Season Final Record: 50-38-2 (56.8%)

This is my third season participating in the Circa Million contest where you pick five games each NFL week by the spread. Top 100 cashes along with quarterly winners as well. Join me in my journey this season to grind my way to some prize money.

It came down to the final week in the Circa Million and here were my five picks for Week 18:

  • Steelers +2 PUSH

  • Broncos -10.5 ✅

  • Panthers +8 ✅

  • Seahawks -6.5 ❌

  • Jets +1 ✅

In the final week of the season, I always look to take teams not playing for anything other than spoiler over teams that need to win to get into the playoffs or have a shot for it. That was why I picked the Jets and Panthers who both won straight up when the other teams needed it. Just something I’ve been tracking for a while, teams with nothing to play for seem to play looser and can cover especially if they’re getting points. The Seahawks was under the key number 7 and with the Rams resting everyone, I thought Seattle had a good chance to cover that. They had it, but a failed 2-point conversion kept me from the undefeated week.

A 3-1-1 week put me at 50-38-2 for 51 points in the contest which was 5 points away from the top 100 and cashing and only 11 points away from the top prize which is wild to think about. It’s such a small margin for error at the top, and I was hoping to pull out a late run but it was not to be this season. I’m actually glad overall with how I did this season as I improved again from last year, but still need to take that jump to get into the top 100 next season.

2022 Record: 41-44-5 (48.2%)
2023 Record: 49-38-3 (56.3%)
2024 Record: 50-38-2 (56.8%)

Congrats to Team BP for winning the million bucks. I plan to once again participate next season and may even get into Circa Survivor as well, which also finished up with eight winners all splitting nearly $2 million each.
