The Bet Newsletter
ADMIN
Christmas Week
Hey everyone, my apologies for missing last week…it’s been a busy couple of weeks getting ready for Christmas but I wanted to send out a little newsletter for the holiday week. First let me say THANK YOU to everyone that subscribed in the first week. I was blown away by the amount that signed up already. I hope to keep you entertained with the happenings and funny stories in the sports betting world. Also, please be patience with me as I’ll be changing the formatting until I find something I like and that header up there is just a placeholder for now. We will get there! But once again let me say thank you for joining me here and I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and happy holidays this week!

Chernoff Gets Called Out
And here we go! Transparency is a big deal in the sports betting world. Sports betting influencers, TV hosts, random touts and scamicappers online post picks all the time. There’s so much of it. What really grinds some gears with people is when those people start changing their records and not accurately tracking their bets that they display to the public. And that is on full display on X with George Panagakis coming after Right Angle Sports’ Adam Chernoff:
Another bad week for Adam on Vsin/Follow the Money. I’m documenting him so the public is not fooled by his “fancy talk”! In my world I respect people who pick winners and show betslips.

Like I said here we go, lol. George has been tracking Chernoff’s picks on VSiN’s popular show “Follow the Money” and points out that he went 2-6 this past weekend. George doubled down and posted a 3-minute video where he states that Chernoff’s record is 45-61 and calls out to show hosts Mitch Moss and Pauly Howard to protect the show and let Chernoff go from the show.
I’m not sure why George is out to “get” Chernoff, but it’s hard to argue with what he’s saying. Integrity is everything and influencers or hosts posting their picks for people should be accurate on their record and not falsely promote things that haven’t happened. I’m not sure if that’s what’s happening here with Chernoff, but George sure seems to believe it is. George’s tweet says it all—he respects people who pick winners and show betslips. For whatever reason, George is out for blood and Chernoff is next on his list.
It’s feuds like this that made me start this newsletter. We will see if Mitch, Pauly or Chernoff will respond as George continues to make his tracker list and checking it twice. RAS did respond yesterday by tweeting this out backing Chernoff:
Since @adamchernoff joined RAS, our record on NFL regular season sides and totals is 59-39 (60.2%). All against widely available consensus lines and monitored by @betstamp.
No one else compares under similar conditions.
@grpwins doesn't own shit.
Happy holidays to all.

So who’s correct here? Does it matter? Does anyone care? Check out the continuing battle on X!

Hawaii Bowl
This Hawaii Bowl tonight gonna have the handle of a Super Bowl

This made me laugh today as Will Hill pointed out the obvious with tonight’s Hawaii Bowl. If you haven’t noticed, South Florida/San Jose St is literally the only sports happening on Christmas Eve. Not sure how we ended up with two NFL games on Christmas day, but no other bowls, no NBA, no NHL, no nothing on Christmas Eve. People will most likely be hanging out with the family or sick of the family by kickoff and betting the Hawaii Bowl like it’s the only game in town, because today…it literally is.
ANNOUNCEMENT
FanDuel Announces “My Spend” Dashboard
This is a couple weeks old, but I think it warrants talking about. David Purdum tweeted out that FanDuel is rolling out a “My Spend” dashboard that finally allows customers to see their total amount deposited and their net winnings to promote some kind of responsible gaming.
FanDuel (@FDSportsbook) announces new responsible gaming "My Spend" dashboard that allows customers to view amount deposited and net winnings. Advertising campaign will coincide with release of dashboard.

I love this idea and believe it’s been long overdue. Sports bettors should be tracking their bets, but let’s face it—most don’t do it. This gives people a snapshot in real time of what they’re up or down on that app. And if you log on one NFL Sunday and see you’ve lost 3k on the year already, maybe you think twice about depositing more money or making more bets. I’ve been saying for a while now that we need more of this in the sports betting space because as of now these sportsbooks remain unchecked with a lot of this. With access to bet on multiple sports right in your pocket, people are getting in trouble. I’ve seen it hit a couple of my friends hard so things like this are needed. Hopefully this is just a start and more changes like this “My Spend” dashboard will be coming.
CIRCA MILLION UPDATE
Season Record: 43-36-1 (54.4%)
This is my third season participating in the Circa Million contest where you pick five games each NFL week by the spread. Top 100 cashes along with quarterly winners as well. Join me in my journey this season to grind my way to some prize money.
I bounced back in Week 15 with a 3-2 week and was hoping to build on it to finish the season strong. Here were my five picks for Week 16:
Chargers -3 ✅
Bengals -7.5 ✅
Bears +6.5 ❌
Seahawks +3 PUSH
Saints +14.5 ❌
OK so my Thursday night run continued with another victory when the Chargers won and covered over the Broncos. I’m something absurd like 7-0 on TNF this season in Circa. But to start 1-0 and then finish 2-2-1 is a major letdown. Things started off great Sunday with the Bengals rolling with their -7.5 stale line that was a winner. But then I took the God awful Bears (last time I take their ass in 2024), then the Saints was just a bad pick and Seahawks pushed for my first push this season. Was hoping for 4-1 or 3-1-1, but no dice.
I’ve been spinning my wheels for a couple weeks now and only have two weeks left. If I go 10-0 last two weeks, I’ll be right at 60% and possibly in the money but it’ll have to be a miracle run to finish. And this week the lines are already out because there are games nearly every day this week.
Also, Circa Survivor is down to 45 entries if you’ve been following along. I’ve never participated in that contest before, but am thinking about it for next season.
